January 2023Starting January 2023 the new official currency in Croatia is the euro replacing the previous Kuna.
By adopting the euro Croatia with a population of 3.9 million joins other 20 countries already using the euro as the official currency.
The latest country to adopt the euro was Lithuania in 2015.
The official rate of exchange is 7.5345 Kuna equals 1 euro.
Before January 2023 the exchange rate was 7.52 Kuna to 1 euro.
