July 2023Official data reveals that blueberries remain the major culture when starting an agricultural business.
Investments in perennial gardens have doubled in 2022 compared to the average annual investments in 2015-2022.
Total investments in 2022 constituted GEL64 million ($22 million), and almost half of this amount was co-financed by the Gardens component of the Georgian governmental program.
The program aims to modernize local agriculture and boost local production by providing financial incentives to Georgian farmers.
Georgia EU Free Trade Agreement

The agreement which is strongly opposed by Russia will bind Georgia with the EU economically and politically.

Tbilisi Quality of Living is the Lowest in Europe
January 2012According to the 2011 quality of living survey released by Mercer in December 2011 Tbilisi has the lowest ranking in Europe, 214.
The lowest ranking among the 221 cities surveyed is Baghdad. Vienna has the highest Ranking.
Regarding personal safety ranking Tbilisi is ranked 215, the lowest ranking goes to Baghdad while the highest ranking goes to Luxembourg.
Mercer's survey is aimed to help governments and multi-national companies wishing to compensate fairly employees planned on international assignments.
