Lithuania Euro Introduction
January 2015Lithuania introduced on January 1, 2015 the Euro as its official currency replacing the previous Litas, LT, at a fixed rate of 1 Euro equals LT 3.4528.
For two weeks till 15.1.2015 both currencies can be used for payments.
Lithuania is now the 19th member of the Euro zone.
Lithuania Foreign Trade 2011
February 2012Statistics Lithuania informed on 9.2.2012 that based on non-final data the Lithuanian exports in December 2011 decreases by 2.7% compared to November 2011.
Imports in December 2011 decreased by 7.3% compared to November 2011.
Exports in December 2011 grew by 11.2% compared to December 2010 while imports grew by 8% in the same period.
