Latvia business forecast for 2023
January 2014Global growth is projected to fall from an estimated 3.5 percent in 2022 to 3.0 percent in both 2023 and 2024.
While the forecast for 2023 is modestly higher than predicted in the April 2023 World Economic Outlook (WEO), it remains weak by historical standards

Latvia Adopts the Euro
January 2014Latvia adopted on January 1, 2014 the euro as its official currency.
By adopting euro Latvia is now the 18th eurozone member. Estonia joined the eurozone three years ago.
Lithuania is expected to adopt euro next year.
Latvia to Adopt Euro in 2014
December 2012The Latvian government approved a draft law adopting the use of Euro as its currency starting January 1, 2014.
The adoption will enter into force after the approval of the Latvian parliament.
