New Foreign Currency Restrictions
August 2012The national bank of Ukraine, NBU, issued new rules regarding purchase of foreign currency for deals with non- residents.
According to the new rules effective August 23, 2012 clients of the banks, companies and business people, are obliged to purchase their foreign currency via only one bank for each foreign agreement with non-residents.
The new rules are expected to encourage competition with banks dealing with foreign currency in Ukraine.
